What is Not For Free?
Not For Free — це рух і продукт водночас. Рух — некомерційний кооператив: люди об'єднуються, щоб представляти права на свій контент і знання у переговорах про ліцензування зі ШІ-компаніями. Продукт — платформа, де ШІ-інтерв'юер допомагає видобути ваш досвід і запакувати його в «модуль знань», який можна продавати. Спільна ідея одна: ваші знання і досвід не мають діставатися ШІ безкоштовно.
Not For Free is both a movement and a product. The movement is a non-profit cooperative: people join together to represent the rights to their content and knowledge in licensing negotiations with AI companies. The product is a platform where an AI interviewer helps extract your expertise and package it into a "knowledge module" you can sell. One idea underlies both: your knowledge and experience shouldn't go to AI for free.

No. By default, your content is not used to train models. Processing happens through paid APIs with no training on your data, and you always make a deliberate choice about how your information may be processed. This isn't fine print — it's a principle.

No. There are no tokens, no blockchain, no speculative schemes here. That's a deliberate choice. Not For Free runs on ordinary, understandable mechanisms: rights, licenses, payment. Nothing to buy or "mine."
Що означає «приєднати права»? Це мене до чогось зобов'язує?
What does "join your rights" mean? Does it commit me to anything?
Приєднання означає, що ви заявляєте намір представляти свої знання і контент разом з іншими учасниками кооперативу. На цьому етапі приєднання ні до чого вас не зобов'язує: це не ексклюзивний і не безвідкличний договір, і ви не передаєте нікому власність на свою роботу. Точну юридичну форму представництва ми зараз фіналізуємо разом із юристами і зробимо її прозорою до того, як хтось підпише будь-що зобов'язальне.
Joining means you're expressing an intent to have your knowledge and content represented alongside other cooperative members. At this stage, joining commits you to nothing: it's not an exclusive or irrevocable agreement, and you don't transfer ownership of your work to anyone. We're currently finalizing the exact legal form of representation with legal counsel, and we'll make it transparent before anyone signs anything binding.

How does licensing to AI companies work? Who gets the money?
Задум такий: кооператив веде переговори про колективні ліцензії зі ШІ-компаніями від імені своїх учасників. Оскільки поодинокого автора легко проігнорувати, а спільноту — ні, колективне представництво дає важіль. Дохід від ліцензій спрямовується учасникам, чиї права представлені, за вирахуванням операційних витрат кооперативу — він некомерційний і не існує заради прибутку для себе. Конкретні умови і механіку розподілу ми оприлюднимо, коли юридична конструкція буде готова.
The intent is this: the cooperative negotiates collective licenses with AI companies on behalf of its members. A single author is easy to ignore; a community is not — collective representation creates leverage. License revenue flows to the members whose rights are represented, minus the cooperative's operating costs — it's non-profit and doesn't exist to profit from itself. We'll publish the specific terms and distribution mechanics once the legal structure is finalized.

What is a "knowledge module" and how is it different from joining my rights?
Приєднання прав — це про рух: колективне ліцензування вашого наявного контенту. Модуль знань — це про продукт: ШІ-інтерв'юер проводить вас через серію розмов, видобуває ваш практичний досвід (те, що ви знаєте, але ніде не записали) і пакує це в структурований продукт, який інші можуть купити — разово або з роялті вам. Одне не вимагає іншого; можна робити тільки те, що вам ближче.
Joining your rights is about the movement: collective licensing of your existing content. A knowledge module is about the product: an AI interviewer walks you through a series of conversations, extracts your practical experience (the things you know but never wrote down), and packages it into a structured product others can buy — one-time or with royalties to you. Neither requires the other; you can do only the part that fits you.

The cooperative's role is to represent that choice collectively so it carries weight.
